School Construction Project?

We feel we can be more effective and efficient in our attempt to provide educational services to the local communities if we had our own facilities. For that reason, it is our vision to construct a school with modern academic and sporting infrastructure for the benefits of the local communities. We intend to provide boarding and day schooling facilities to accommodate everyone’s preference. The school will provide an excellent environment for students to excel both in their academics as well as their sporting activities. To that effect, land has been identified in the Eastern part of Lusaka for this project and negotiations are underway for the purchase of the land. Upon the conclusion of all the formalities, the construction shall commence and our website will continue giving updates on the same.

We also wish to make an earnest appeal to the architects from all over the world to volunteer assisting us in coming up with the drawings for this school project as their donation. As a sporting school we intend to provide all major sporting facilities such as Tennis, Basket Ball, squash, Netball, Volley Ball courts, Soccer and Rugby fields, sick bay to mention but just a few. Indeed this undertaking is not an easy one but we believe it’s very possible especially if we embrace the famous quote by the President of the United States of America Barak Obama “Yes We Can”!!!

Who qualifies to benefit from the Lutanda foundation and how?

Our main targets are the have-nots, those who can hardly afford and secondly we also consider those struggling to meet their educational needs with emphasis on empowering every deserving child to have a feel of a classroom. Nevertheless, we are mindful of managing every available resource in a manner that inspires the confidence of the sponsors and as a result we ensure not to impose ourselves on the people. This is done in order to maximize the usage of the hard earned goodwill of the people from all over the world by producing tangible academic results thereby attracting more sponsors.   

This is the more reason why the Lutanda Soccer Academy has strong passion for an educated youth. The issue of education is crucial and as such absconding classes is a punishable offence at the Soccer Academy and we do this in order to deter our students from the mindset that they still can train and be part of the soccer team even without going to school and it is as simple as that. We are glad to mention that this strictness has produced very positive results so far and we shall continue with it because even those whose interest were only in soccer are compelled to go to school with their friends and eventually they develop the liking of school activities.

The other incentive is that by virtue of one being a member of the Soccer Academy male or female, their siblings automatically qualify to be sponsored into school by the foundation.
